Agitator Main Components

  • CHAIN COUPLING
    • It serves to connect the drive unit to the shaft.
  • MOTOR
    • The capacity is selected according to the mixing purpose, allowing for the acquisition of the required power.
  • REDUCER
    • Speed reduction is applied according to the mixing purpose, and Geared, Cyclo, V-belt, or Variable types can be implemented.
  • SURPORT FRAME
    • This component acts as a stabilizer for the drive unit and accommodates the installation of bearing housings or sealing systems.
  • BEARING HOUSING
    • Ball or tapered roller (T.R.) bearings are inserted to ensure smooth rotation and prevent shaft wobble, and the unit consists of a box and a cover.
  • FLANGE COUPLING
    • It connects the drive shaft to the mixing shaft.
  • MECHANICAL SEAL
    • Gland packing, lip seals, oil seals, water seals, or reverse seals are selected and installed based on the vessel and liquid conditions. As these are consumables, periodic replacement is required.
  • IMPELLER
    • The design varies depending on the viscosity and specific gravity of the liquid; like the seals, these are consumables.
  • MIXING SHAFT
    • The shaft transmits rotation to the impeller. Since motor capacity, number of blades, and the liquid's viscosity and specific gravity are key factors in determining the shaft diameter, consultation with the manufacturer is essential.
  • FOOT BEARING
    • If the shaft is long, a steady bearing must be installed to prevent vibration and wobbling.
  • BAFFLE FLAT
    • To prevent vortexing in cylindrical tanks, baffles are installed with standard dimensions: 80% of the height between cells and 10% of the internal diameter."
